Far

Our hearts are close, like mouth and nose,

I tell myself,

a darl whose gaze gives me a daze

and sets my heart on blaze,

whose touch I desperately crave,

but remains a dream buried in a grave

oh, how I miss her no lie,

to unite with her till I die,

physically, distance divides speed and time

but why me from my dime?

There’s a day in the future, I believe,

One not far like the rapture, I will leave

Fate to take its course and its twist

and deliver to me the love that I seek,

happily ever after is the dream, a fairly tale

but the light in this tunnel of love is dim, I can barely tell,

if there’s someone next to me or I will forever ride alone,

are the love curtains closing on me?

I’m not delusional, just observant,

Is love illusional, or just scant?

Time will do tell.
